“A snowflake! Of course!” you cry. Upon your answer, the woman smiles broadly.  “Welcome to Small Gloucester, my friend!” A rush of relief swallows you and you are barely able to speak your thanks.  “My name is Jubilee Sharper and I am part of the congregation here at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church. I will get you some supper and let you sleep a while.  We have a small but safe room built beneath the church floorboards.  I am sorry the accommodations cannot be more comfortable, but we cannot risk any of unexpected visitors seeing you.  Many of them are sympathizers themselves, but it is best to keep you secret. Please enjoy this modest meal and I’ll show you to your bed. You still have a long journey to Fettersville. When you arrive, you must find Mr Thomas Oliver. He continues the fine work of his father and will hide you and guarantee you safe passage to Philadelphia. You will find him by following the signs and signals you will see along the way. But tonight you rest, and tomorrow morning we hold our worship services and I expect you’ll enjoy the exceptional voices of our choir if you listen well!”
